Long ago up North on the Island of Berk, the young Viking, Hiccup, wants to join his town's fight against the dragons that continually raid their town. However, his macho father and village leader, Stoik the Vast, will not allow his small, clumsy, but inventive son to do so. Regardless, Hiccup ventures out into battle and downs a mysterious Night Fury dragon with his invention, but can't bring himself to kill it. Instead, Hiccup and the dragon, whom he dubs is begin a friendship. He try to come near the dragon and give a food. He also make a new wings for the dragon, because his wing had lacerated by the fight. The dragon finally was obedient to him. He train the dragon to fly and he also tame the other dragon. Everyone were confused why he can train the fiercest dragon. he tells his friend not to fight dragon in order they tame to the people. His father is very ambitious to fight the dragons. But he and his warriors cannot do that, because the biggest and strongest dragon coming and very angry to them. Hiccup quickly come to his father to help. His father confused but proud to him.
Dragon’s image for human is that dragon are scary, destroyer, and can’t be manage animal, how to train your dragon want to change that human thought of dragons. How to train your dragon is prove that not all the dragon are scary and destroyer. They are the same as the other animals that are need love and attention. They fight with human is because the human take their place. Chris and Dean is succeed to make people more understand what are the dragon’s like. The moral value of this film are first, we must love animals around us because they also have feelings like us. Second, don’t underestimate people. Third, we should have a high spirit of teamwork because the spirit of teamwork can make our work more successful.
This movie is good to watched by kids and their parents. Kids can learn how to love the animals around them and not to underestimate people. This movie can teach the kids that should be confident with what they had learned and applies that knowledge to help others.
